If you cannot find the information you are looking for, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to answer any of your queries.
What is check in/check out policy?
Check in is from 3pm, we do advise to not arrive later than 5pm (4pm in winter), as your host will have more time to give you an enjoyable farm tour before dinner. Check out is 10am on departure.
I am bringing my infant child, why does the child rate apply?
Our discounted child rates apply to all children under 12 years, as this takes into account the room they will occupy and time at the farm as they are still included in the farm tour. As well as other facilities you may need to use at the farmstay for your infant child.
Why is the middle day lunch the same rate for child and adult?
The middle day lunch takes into account the extra time on the property with the host, as well as lunch being prepared for your stay.
Will you guarantee a farmstay in the specific location I have chosen?
We try our best to find a suitable farmstay in the first location you have chosen. We do deal with private family homes, where bedding arrangements cannot be changed and depending on your group size we will need to match you with the appropriate farmstay with the correct bedding. If we cannot find a suitable farmstay in the first location of your choice, we will do our best to find a suitable farmstay that is nearest to your first location. It is a good idea to let us know what your travel plans and activities are during your trip, we can then look into the most suitable property along your travel route and make suggestions.
Can we book a family room?
Please note as we deal with private family homes, the majority of our properties have 2 rooms that can be Double or Twin (2 beds) rooms. We only have a handful properties that can accommodate 3 or 4 persons in one room. However even if your family cannot stay in the 1 room at the farmstay, the rooms booked will be in the same wing/area of the house and usually right next door to each other in the farmstay.
Will our host entertain us for the whole of the middle day if we stay 2 nights?
Our hosts are farmers that still need to carry out their daily farm duties, which may not be suitable for guests to help with. Hosts generally will include you in their day the best they can, however they will need time during the day away from your group to continue with farm duties, as well as food prep and cleaning.
Are there any babysitting services?
Unfortunately no. Our hosts do not provide babysitting services, and all children must be accompanied at all times during the farmstay by an adult.
Are we booking the whole house for our farmstay?
No you are booking a room within a farmstay, which is hosted accommodation. You will be sharing the home with the host/farmer, however you will have your own bathroom facilities.
Are there any facilities available with the Campervan site package?
We only offer non-powered campervan sites, so vehicles must be self-contained. Parking sites will vary from farm to farm, could be a spot on the properties driveway or neighboring paddock. Please note there is no dump stations or rubbish facilities on our farmstay properties.
